Council member Walker was first elected to the City Council in June of 2009, and declared elected after being unopposed for his second term in 2013. As a fourth generation Nevadan, Council member Walker has worked with most state agencies and local governments throughout Nevada.
Council member Walker currently serves on the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor's Authority Board, the Las Vegas Events Board, the Executive Board of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance, the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition, and the Clark County Debt Management Commission. He also serves as Mayor pro tem for the City of Boulder City.
Council member Walker's professional experience includes working for the Las Vegas Valley Water District, Clark County, PGA Tour Golf Course Properties, McCarthy Building Companies, and is currently in business development for the Ledcor Group.
Council member Walker, an Eagle Scout, earned a Bachelor of Science in business from Brigham Young University and a Master's degree in public administration from UNLV. He and his wife, Michele, have been raising their five children in Boulder City for over a decade and take great pride in Boulder City.
