FAQ's regarding new billing statements

Q. How do I pay my bill online?

A. Beginning in June 2016, you will be able to pay your bill online with our "Citizen Self Service".  We will have further information in the upcoming months.  

Q. What is "Citizen Self Service"?

A. "Citizen Self Service" will allow you to view your utility bill information on line and make your payment. This feature will be available in June 2016. We will have further information in the upcoming months.

Q. How do I sign up to receive my bills by email?

A. Effective October 1, 2015, if you would like to receive your bill by email, you can notify our office to update your account; or beginning in June 2016 you will be able to access your account online and make the changes yourself.

Q. Can I continue to make my utility payment at Wells Fargo or Nevada State Bank?

A. Effective October 1, 2015, we are consolidating payment locations to the Utility Office only; as a result you will no longer be able to pay your utility bill at Wells Fargo or Nevada State Bank.

Q. My account is on the Automatic Payment Plan, can I pay the bill in advance?

A. We will no longer be able to intercept your automatic payment if you pay your bill in advance.  For example, your account is set up to be paid automatically on October 20th but you paid by check on October 18th.  Your checking or savings account will still be charged on October 20th. Your utility account will end up having a credit balance due to the double payment.  You will be charged the difference (if any) on your next monthly bill, or nothing if there is still a credit balance on the account.

Q. Where can I find the history for my water usage?

A. Starting June 2016 you can access your account information online at any time with "Citizen Self Service".  If you need access to your water history prior to this date you may contact our office for the information.

Q. Why does my bill have a customer number?

A. Customer numbers are now being printed on your monthly bill and will help identify you when speaking with Utility Office staff.

Q. I don't have a computer, can I still receive my bill in the mail?

A. Yes, having your bill emailed is going to be an option for those of you who prefer this service.

Q. Can I still pay my bill with a check?

A. Yes, you can still pay you bill with check, cash or card as you always have.  Paying your bill online will be an option for those of you who prefer this service.
