Cam Walker
Council member Walker was elected to the City Council in June of 2009.
As a fourth generation Nevadan and current City Councilman, Cam Walker has worked with most state agencies and local governments throughout Nevada. Cam has served over 10 years as a hospital foundation board member and officer. Additionally, he is currently serving on the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the Executive Board of the Nevada Development Authority, the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition, the Boulder City Community Educational Advisory Board and the Clark County Debt Management Commission.
Cam's professional experience includes working for the Las Vegas Valley Water District, Clark County, PGA Tour Golf Course Properties and as a partner with Broadbent Consulting. Currently, he is the Business Development Director for McCarthy Building Companies responsible for developing strategic-business relationships while overseeing the division's marketing, client services and business development activities in Nevada and supporting the Southwest Region.
Cam, an Eagle Scout, earned a Bachelor of Science in business from Brigham Young University and a Master's degree in public administration from UNLV. Cam and his wife, Michele, have been raising their five children in Boulder City for over a decade and take great pride in the community and relationships they've established.
Cam currently serves as the Mayor pro tem. He also serves as the City Council representative to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition, the Boulder City Community Education Advisory Board, and the Nevada Development Authority.
