The City of Boulder City Building & Safety Division provides standards to safeguard life or limb, health, property and public welfare by regulating and controlling the design, construction, location and maintenance of all buildings and structures and certain specifically regulated equipment within the city.
Goals and strategic issues include improving the efficiency and customer service in the Community Development Department's Building & Safety Division through the following actions:
- Reducing the backlog of pending projects - Reviewing projects in a timely manner - Restructuring the Department's document processing and storage - Improving inspection quality through continuing education - Adopting new building-related codes which are compatible with other local jurisdictions
