The Boulder City Municipal Court's objective is to adjudicate misdemeanor offenses in an ethical, fair and impartial manner; to provide efficient, prompt and courteous service; to preserve the integrity of the judiciary; and to maintain a safe environment for both employees and the public.

The Boulder City Municipal is a City court that has jurisdiction over criminal misdemeanors and matters involving traffic and animal infractions that occur within the city limits of Boulder City.

The Boulder City Municipal Court is presided over by Judge Victor L. Miller. Judge Miller was appointed Municipal Judge in February of 1984. He was born in Tooele, Utah and has been a Nevada resident since 1954. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific in 1981.
Judge Miller has been admitted to practice law in the Nevada Supreme Court, United States District Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Tax Court. In addition to being appointed as Municipal Judge for Boulder City, he also serves as the Justice of the Peace for Boulder Township and has done so since 1993. In June of 2001 he was appointed District Court Juvenile Hearing Master to hear juvenile matters occurring in Boulder City and Searchlight, Nevada.
