Judith Hoskins was appointed to the Boulder City Council in November 2019 to fill an unexpired term due to the passing of Warren Harhay.
Judith and her husband Roger moved to Boulder City in 2001, just after 9-11, to be closer to their son, who had recently moved to Boulder City. Their daughter moved to Boulder City after the passing of Roger. Judith and Roger were friends as teenagers and later married and had a son and daughter; married 56 years.
Judith is retired after 30 years of Federal Service. She retired from the Department of Defense as a GS-12, computer programmer. Judith worked in several departments throughout her career, giving her experience in many fields.
Judith is well known for hosting many open houses at her home.
Judith and her family, including Mother and Father and in-laws, were born and raised in small towns in Illinois and appreciated the life that only a small town can offer. She is an experienced leader, self-thinker, hard worker, problem solver, and a no-nonsense person.
She has been a member of the Boulder City Municipal Pool Ad Hoc Committee and is currently a member of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and Community Association Institute (CAI).
She is currently serving as President of Bella Vista Property Owners’ Association and has held that position for 16 years.
