[ARCHIVED] Large Vessel Caravan to Travel Through Boulder City Thursday

Tank Shipping 1

TRAFFIC NOTE: Thursday morning, a large pressure vessel will be transported to the end of an almost 500 mile journey. The vessel, which resembles a large tank, is part of the Southern Nevada Water Authority’s Low Lake Level Pumping Station (SNWA). The Nevada Highway Patrol will be leading the way from Needles through Boulder City. We expect the tank to arrive in Boulder City between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. from NB US-95, where, due to its size, it will enter I-11 south, then make a u-turn and head north, exiting again at US-95. It will then exit US-95 right onto US-93 south. The caravan will drive along Boulder City Parkway and turn left at BC Parkway/Buchanan Avenue. The vessel will be driven to Lakeshore Road, turning left into the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
