Special Events
Permits are required for various events conducted within Boulder City. From renting a park for a wedding to reserving a park for a car show, or wanting to host a bike race at Bootleg Canyon or rent the gym for a craft show, permitting is done through the Parks and Recreation Department. The permitting process ensure that the events are successful and enjoyed by participants. The permitting process begins with our online registration system. Create your account today!

What is a Special Event? An event, sale, race, show, flea market, etc. is considered a special event if it is open to the public and typically held on city property. Special Events located on private property may also be considered Special Event depending on the scope of the event and the potential to impact the community. If you would like to have a special event please fill out the permit below and submit it to ParksandRecreation@bcnv.org.

Upcoming Events
- Easter Egg Hunt: Parks and Recreation will be hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt at Wilbur Square on March 21, 2026 beginning at 10:00am. Families are invited to enjoy music and take photos with the Easter Bunny. We hope you'll join us for a fun morning of springtime festivities!
- Jazz at Bicentennial Park: On April 4, 2026, join us for an afternoon of jazz, good vibes, and even better company! Bring your blankets, chairs, picnic baskets, and your favorite people to relax and enjoy the music. *Performance time and performers will be announced at a later date.
- Summer Bash: Join us for our Summer Bash on May 30, 2026 from 1:00 - 3:00pm. Learn about all of our Parks and Recreation summer programming! Enjoy family fun with a foam cannon, music, and more. After the Bash, cool off with a free swim at the pool from 3:00pm - 5:00pm. *More information coming soon.
