Formed in 1986, the Boulder City Fire Department Firefighter Reserve Program was established to provide the department with a qualified personnel pool able to supplement daily staffing deficiencies as well as a program for individuals interested in a fire service career.
Under the guidance of the Shift Captain, reserve personnel are paid part-time personnel who respond to all emergencies, participate in training, community risk reduction activities, and maintaining the fire station and equipment.
Minimum Program Prerequisites
The minimum prerequisites to become a reserve firefighter:
- IFSAC or Nevada State Firefighter II
- Must possess valid AEMT or Paramedic certificate licensed by Clark County Health District
