Criminal/Mandatory Appearances

The following require a mandatory appearance in Court regardless of where you reside. Your court date is shown on the face of your citation.

Mandatory Court Appearances

  • Domestic Battery
  • Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor
  • Driving While Under the Influence
  • Fictitious Plates or Registration
  • If an accident occurred
  • Petit Larceny
  • Possession of Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Reckless or Careless Driving
  • Suspended or Revoked Driver's License
  • Unlicensed Driver
  • All other non-traffic offenses

What Happens if you Fail to Appear

If you fail to appear on your court date for a criminal offense, the judge will order a bench warrant for your arrest. At that time, a notice will be sent to your Department of Motor Vehicles requesting the suspension of your Driver's License.  Any money ultimately owed to the Court will be increased significantly.
