The following require a mandatory appearance in Court regardless of where you reside. Your court date is shown on the face of your citation.
Mandatory Court Appearances
- Domestic Battery
- Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor
- Driving While Under the Influence
- Fictitious Plates or Registration
- If an accident occurred
- Petit Larceny
- Possession of Controlled Substance
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Reckless or Careless Driving
- Suspended or Revoked Driver's License
- Unlicensed Driver
- All other non-traffic offenses
What Happens if you Fail to Appear
If you fail to appear on your court date for a criminal offense, the judge will order a bench warrant for your arrest. At that time, a notice will be sent to your Department of Motor Vehicles requesting the suspension of your Driver's License. Any money ultimately owed to the Court will be increased significantly.
