Pool History

The current pool is forty-four years old and has reached a critical point. Damaged coping stone repair - 8.52024The City employed SCA Design to assess the condition of the existing pool. SCA concluded that “the building and many components are past their intended life expectancy.” Voters in 2021 approved spending $7 million from the Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) Fund and selling Tract 350 to build a new pool. In 2023, SCA Design updated their estimate after rising inflation increased the cost of construction, and the new pool proposal is now estimated at $36 Million (see below).

Boulder City residents again showed their support for the New Swimming Pool Recreational Project with the November voter approved ballot question for use up to $9 million from the CIP fund for the project.
